Granqvist Store – Details make the man

A while ago, you could read about Andrew’s Ties Sweden here on the website, a store in Stockholm that sold handmade accessories in a very good price/quality ratio. The store recently rebranded and now goes under the name “Granqvist”, still with the same vision to make men appreciate accessories and with the motto that “details make the man”.

Granqvist was founded by Henrik Granqvist, former shopkeeper of Andrew´s Ties Sweden. Henrik had a vision to create a concept for discerning men that value unique collections and personal service. Henrik is involved in everything from creating designs and making the collections to marketing. You will also find him frequently in the store. According to Henrik this is very important to create the homely feel that he wants.

In Granqvist range of accessories and clothing you can find ties, bow ties, pocket squares, scarves, socks, gloves, belts, bags and other accessories as well as a wide range of shirts and pullovers. Most of the neckties and accessories are produced in the south of Italy where the producers have been making ties, bow ties and pocket squares since the early 1970´s.

The shirts are produced in Europe with only Italian fabrics and their manufacturer has been making shirts since the 1960’s. Granqvist offers shirts both for business and casual occasions – working with RTW shirts that have a slim silhouette without being too tight.

The store is still located in the heart of Vasastan in the city of Stockholm at Rörstrandsgatan 10. Here you can browse through the entire collection clothing and accessories. A large difference now compared to before the re-branding is that you can find a much larger selection of the products offered on the website.

In this post I have chosen a small selection of my personal favourites this season from Granqvist:

Printed Floral – Burgundy/Beige
Printed Floral Untipped – Dark Green
Untipped Regimental Grenadine – Navy/Blue/White
Vintage Floral – Citrus
Silk Medallion – Beige/White/Green
Cashmere/Cotton Floral – Turqouise/White
